Sacred Heart Catholic School is a pre-kindergarten through 8th grade school servicing the needs of over 250 students, their parents, and our parish community. Established in 1865 by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, Sacred Heart Catholic School has a long and rich history in the Rogue Valley.
School Advisory Council
According to the Archdiocese of Portland’s Constitution for School Advisory Councils, the “purpose of the Advisory Council shall be to provide policy direction for program needs of the school, especially in Planning, Finance and Development; to promote the implementation of said policies; and to insure that all local policies are in accord with the intent and spirit of the policies established for the Catholic schools of the Archdiocese of Portland.”
2015-16 School Advisory Council Members:
Curt Shenk (Chair), Jackie Ardrey, Lori Conner, Michael Miller, Joe Mussio, Dean Russo, Robyn Schiffer, Kendra West and Whitney Yeamans. Fr. Ken Sampson, Marie Chandler, Lori Conner, and Patrick Gross participate as ex officio, non-voting members.

Sacred Heart Catholic School affirms parents as the primary teachers of their children. As facilitators, we seek to serve the children of Sacred Heart in providing an excellent education grounded in Catholic principles, morals and values to prepare students for life long learning. Our curriculum is designed for the education of the whole Christian person providing a student-center environment in which each child’s unique gifts are developed to full individual potential, academically, spiritually, physically, culturally and emotionally.
