Faith Based Education

“The one thing I really like about Sacred Heart is that Math is really easy and it goes right along with the 5th Grade standards.  I am really learning a lot and it’s way better than public school.  I also like how good of a teacher I have.  She teaches us really well.  Another one of the major things is that we go to Mass to remember Jesus Christ and what He did for us by dying on the cross and being resurrected so we can be forgiven by confessing our sins and repenting.  That way we can have eternal life and live in happiness.  I also like P.E. because we get to do all kinds of stuff like dodgeball and basketball.  It’s really fun.  I think Sacred Heart is a really nice school.”

About Faith Based Education

Students of Sacred Heart Catholic School are always learning more about the Catholic faith. Certified Catechists teach religion classes on a daily basis and priests visits from Sacred Heart Parish enable all students to learn more about the Catholic faith. Throughout the day, students pray a variety of prayers and can visit their prayer corners located in their classrooms that provide some individual quiet time.  The Sacraments of Reconciliation are offered and students attend and participate in weekly Masses as readers, altar servers, bringing up the offertory gifts and/or ushering. Sacred Heart Catholic School offers a variety of school-wide faith based activities and programs to enable students to live out their faith and be of service to the local community.  Some of the activities school wide are the Living Rosary, the Reenactment of the Last Supper, and Stations of the Cross.
